Who knew?! According to Kentucky legislators, we’re all screwed!
As you (Energy & Environment Cabinet official) sit there in your chair with your data, we sit up here in our with our data and our constituents and stuff behind us. I don’t want to get into the debate about climate change, but I will simply point out that I think in academia we all agree that the temperature on Mars is exactly as it is here. Nobody will dispute that. Yet there are no coal mines on Mars. There are no factories on Mars that I’m aware of.
Let’s take a few moments and let that sink in. The temperature on Mars is the same as Earth. The average temperature on Mars is -80. I’m no scientist but if the temperature routinely got that low here, I would have died long ago.
His point is that humans play no part in the global temperatures on Earth. How do we know this? Well, you see, since Earth and Mars have the same temperature and there are no factories or coal mines on Mars, then the logical conclusion is that those things play no part in global temperatures.
Unfortunately, since the Kentucky legislator is wrong about the temperatures, his argument is pointless. And idiotic. Just remember folks, these are the people making laws. Scary thought, indeed.
